At the Bench
Carly is an undergraduate student at UCSD, currently majoring in Pharmacological Chemistry. She started her research in the Siegel Lab and worked on projects centered on molecular synthesis of potential therapies throughout her sophomore year. Carly joined the Nizet Lab Summer 2025 where she assists Dr. Anh Ngo with her work studying platelet mechanisms in relation to drug-resistant pathogens as well as exploring novel therapeutics for thromboinflammatory disease treatment. After graduation, Carly hopes to pursue a PhD and continue her research throughout her career.
Outside of Lab
Carly enjoys cafe hopping, crafting, baking and cooking, reading, and listening to music. In her free time, she plays video games, watches comfort shows, and goes climbing with friends.
