At the Bench
Hasti is a pre-medical student at UC San Diego with research experience studying MRSA and sepsis in a microbiology and infectious disease lab. Her work involves investigating bacterial resistance and immune responses in the context of Staphylococcus aureus infections. She is particularly interested in how microbial pathogenesis intersects with human disease, and she hopes to explore this further through translational research. Hasti's long-term goal is to pursue a career in medicine with a focus on infectious disease or dermatology.
Outside of Lab
Outside of lab, Hasti enjoys exploring San Diego’s beach trails, experimenting new workout classes, and hanging out with friends in her free time. Hasti also loves traveling and discovering new food spots.
