At the Bench

Nandhana is an undergraduate student majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and Probability and Statistics at UCSD. Her current research is focused on the development and evaluation of outer membrane vesicle based nanoparticle vaccines as therapeutics against bacterial sepsis. On a broader scale, she is interested in how host-pathogen interactions at the molecular level can be leveraged to create more effective treatments for infectious diseases. In the long run, Nandhana aims to pursue a career as a physician-scientist, with a commitment to leading clinical trials and bridging the gap between benchtop discovery and patient care in translational medicine.

Outside of Lab

Nandhana enjoys going on walks, watching sunsets and reading. She also loves spending time with friends and trying out new restaurants.
