Welcome to the Division of Child and Community Health
Our aim is to care for and foster the growth and development of infants, children, teens, and young adults. This goal not only pertains to promoting optimal physical health, but to facilitating optimal cognitive, emotional, and social health and well-being. As such, the goal of this Division is to identify and address the social, psychological, and behavioral determinants of health that impede the development and well-being of children and families from our diverse communities and improve health equity. This division embraces the work of researchers, educators, program developers, community members and agencies, clinicians, and public health advocates in creating and disseminating best practices to support this aim.
