Dr. Peter E. Zage, MD, PhD (Bio)
Dr. Zage is an Associate Professor-in-Residence at UCSD and the Moores Cancer Center and is a pediatric oncologist at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. Dr. Zage is an expert in the treatment of the pediatric solid tumors neuroblastoma and retinoblastoma, and his laboratory is focused on developing novel treatments and identifying novel targets for therapies for children with solid tumors. 

Dr. Divya Subramonian, PhD: Divya is a senior research associate and laboratory manager for the Zage laboratory.  Her current projects include efforts to understand the role of NME1 and histidine kinase signaling in neuroblastoma tumor cell differentiation and to evaluate the efficacy of novel therapeutic agents and combinations in mouse xenograft models of pediatric solid tumors.

Dr. Christopher Le Clorennec: Christophe is a senior research associate for the Zage laboratory.  His current projects include efforts to understand the role of UBE4B and growth factor receptor trafficking in neuroblastoma pathogenesis.

Students & Fellows

Breanna Breeding, MD: Breanna is a 3rd year fellow in pediatric hematology-oncology at Rady Children's Hospital and is currently investigating the efficacy and mechanisms of action of novel therapies directed against pediatric neural tumor stem cells.

Taelor Getz: Taelor is a graduate student in the UCSD Biomedical Sciences Program and is currently exploring the targeting MYCN-mediated signaling in neuroblastoma models.

Student Volunteers

Amogh Chaturvedi: Amogh is a junior at Canyon Crest Academy in Carmel Valley currently volunteering in the laboratory.

Erica Steen: Erica is a UCSD undergraduate student currently volunteering in the laboratory.

Postdoctoral Position Available

Postdoctoral Fellowship position available.
Requirements: Strong background in cellular and molecular biology required.  Prefer experience with in vitro and in vivo models of cancer.  English language proficiency and strong publication record preferred.
