Our Education & Training programs serve medical students, residents, and fellows across three tracks: Academic General Pediatrics, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and Newborn Medicine.
Medical Student Training
The Academic General Pediatric clinics, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics clinics, and Newborn Medicine hospital service serve as the main training sites for third and fourth-year UCSD School of Medicine medical students.
Resident Education
The Academic General Pediatric clinics, Developmental-Behavioral clinics and Newborn Medicine hospital service serve as the main outpatient training sites for UCSD School of Medicine pediatric and medicine-pediatrics residents. Trainees have the opportunity to work with multiple faculty pediatricians to learn evidence-based approaches for the management of common and uncommon pediatric conditions in a diverse patient population.
