Pre & Post-award Fund Management Assignment List

  • Pre-award Proposal development and submission
    • Submit the Proposal starter to your pre-award fund manager at least 30 days before the proposal due date.
    • Services include:
      • review of RFA/guidelines
      • PI Exceptions
      • creation of checklist
      • development of budget and justification
      • communication with subaward institution/s regarding required documents for submission
      • Creation and routing of Kuali Research record (5 days before proposal submission due date)
      • Upload of sponsor required documents to sponsor proposal application (e.g. ASSIST, Proposal Central etc.)
      • Just-in-Time requests
  • Budget development and negotiation for investigator initiated clinical trials
  • Post-award Financial Management of studies – contact your Department of Pediatrics post-award fund manager for support
  • HR support to hire study coordinators and nurses – contact Aditi Zaveri at azaveri@health.ucsd.edu

Central Office (OCGA, OCTA, OCAA)

Note: to engage services from one of the central offices contact your Pediatrics Business pre-award fund manager to assist with Kuali research submission:

  • Institutional sign-off on investigator initiated projects
  • Contract/Award terms negotiation
  • Budget service through OCAA for industry initiated clinical trials
