This training program, under sponsorship from the Department of Pediatrics is open to physicians who have initiated or completed training in clinical specialties such as pediatrics, internal medicine, OBGYN or other relevant specialties. One full year in an ACGME accredited clinical residency is enough to fulfill the requirement although most fellows have completed their residency training.
Candidates that have completed a residency that is not ACGME-accredited, including those trained in foreign countries, will be considered eligible, as long as ABMGG considers their previous training valid, so they can later apply for Board certification in Medical Genetics.
Applicants should submit their applications using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) starting July 3rd , 2024 for a fellowship starting in July of 2025. We will review your file when it is complete and contact you regarding an interview. We participate in the NRMP Fellowship Matching Program .
