Raquel Almeida Neves
Dr. Neves earned her medical degree from Universidade de Vassouras in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Hospital Federal do Andaraí, followed by fellowships in Cardiology and Electrophysiology in São Paulo. In 2020, she joined the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota as a research fellow, contributing to publications on the diagnosis and treatment of genetic heart diseases. Her research focuses on advancing treatments for genetic heart conditions, including Long QT Syndrome, CPVT, and cardiomyopathies. Currently, Dr. Neves is a fellow in Medical Genetics at the University of California, San Diego. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach and with her husband, daughter, and friends.

Alvaro Martin-Rodriguez, MD
Dr. Martín-Rodríguez received his MD degree at Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona (Spain) and completed his pediatrics residency at Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío in Sevilla (Spain). His academic interests include RASopathies, lysosomal storage disorders and teratologic conditions, including fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). He enjoys the beach, reading books and playing Lego with his son.
