Biobanking Core
Our Lung Center Biobanking Core is focused on procuring explanted disease lungs from the lung transplant program. We are grateful to our donors, clinicians, staffs and trainees for these precious gifts. Our procurement standard operating procedure features ultra-low ischemia time, allowing the generation of high quality data using cutting-edge technologies featured at the UC San Diego Lung Center laboratories. Your gifts have brought up closer to understanding these conditions and finding better treatment.
Bioinformatic Core
This Core operates as a close collaboration between the Lung Center and Center for Epigenomics. We have established pipelines tailored to analysis of single cell transcriptomic, epigenomics, and spatial transcriptomics data from the human lung and lungs of model organisms. The data analyzed by our Core are open access at platforms such as LungMAP
