Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship

The Department of Pediatrics at UC, San Diego is offering a three year fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology.  Our newly launched program offers comprehensive training and experience in clinical assessment, bedside and clinical teaching, career and personal development, and opportunities to pursue learning through research or other academic endeavors.

The fellowship program allows flexibility for tailored training experiences based on the specific interests of the fellow, including opportunities to become RhMSUS certified, obtain training in epidemiology and biostatistics, earn additional graduation with Distinction in Medical Education, become further trained in QI methodology, and more.  Our goal is to train future leaders in the field.  The UCSD Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), and the program is open to graduates of accredited pediatric residencies.

Applications should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).  The fellowship program reviews all completed application.  Applicants are invited to interview with our faculty in late Summer through Fall of each year (typically August – November) for a Fall match.  One fellowship position is awarded annually through the NRMP for a term of 3 years.
