Theo Roque

Theo is a third-year medical student at UCSD. He has been working with the Schwimmer Lab since June 2024, studying how current standards for gamma-glutamyl transferase as a diagnostic tool can be improved to better assess liver and metabolic health. He received his B.A. in Electrical Engineering at USC and worked in the telecommunications industry before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. He is particularly interested in gastroenterology.
