About Us

The interest of the Nizet laboratory lies in understanding fundamental mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis and the innate immune system, with a special focus on human streptococcal, staphylococcal and multidrug resistant Gram-negative bacterial infections. Using a combination of molecular genetics, microbiology, proteomics, immunology, and murine models of infection, we seek to identify and develop novel biotherapeutics, antimicrobials, and vaccines to further translational medicine in the fight against MDR infections.
