Anh T. P. Ngo

Postdoctoral Fellow

Research Interests

  • Host-Pathogen Interactions
  • Vascular Biology
  • Thrombosis & Hemostasis

At the Bench

Anh received her graduate training in Biomedical Engineering under the mentorship of Dr. Owen McCarty at Oregon Health & Science University in 2021. Her thesis work focused on platelet signaling and platelet-coagulation crosstalk in hemostasis and inflammatory diseases. She then pursued her postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Kandace Gollomp in the Division of Hematology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she studied the interplay between platelets, neutrophils, and endothelial cells in modulating pathogen clearance to improve sepsis outcomes. Anh joined the Nizet laboratory in the spring of 2024 to study mechanism of platelets in combating drug-resistant pathogens, and explore novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of sepsis and other thromboinflammatory disorders.

Outside of Lab

Anh enjoys pilates, hiking, biking, and backpacking. In her free time, she hangs out with her husband and puppy, tries out new coffee shops and bookstores, and video calls her family and friends to catch up.
