Grad Student

Research Interests

  • Host-Pathogen Interactions
  • Host-Directed Therapy
  • Inflammation

At the Bench

Siri received her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Immunology and a B.A. in Public Health from UC Berkeley. Her undergraduate research focused on the genetic regulation of the mitotic to meiotic transition by a class of alternative mRNA transcript isoforms in budding yeast. Wanting to integrate her interests in immunology and public health, Siri joined the Nizet lab in 2024 with an interest in developing novel host-directed therapies for multi-drug resistant infections. Currently, Siri is studying how human milk oligosaccharides and various natural products can modulate immunity against infection.

Out of Lab

Siri enjoys baking and cooking, reading fiction, and crocheting. You can find Siri practicing Indian classical dance, going to the beach, and trying new coffee shops around San Diego.
