Curriculum

As a pediatrics resident, you will receive your primary training at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, the only standalone children’s hospital in the region. In addition, you’ll gain experience at several outstanding sites, including UCSD Jacobs Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente, Balboa Naval Medical Center, and more. Each of these diverse training locations offers unique experiences and a broad spectrum of patient populations, ensuring you become a well-rounded and highly skilled pediatrician.

Beyond clinical training, we emphasize personal growth and career development. We encourage participation in community-based rotations, global health electives, research opportunities, and personalized electives—let your creativity guide you!

We actively incorporate insights from feedback retreats, inpatient wards committees, housestaff meetings, and one-on-one discussions.
